Interest in languages and French, why French and not anything else, any experience you've had for example in France etc. what made you study French in the first place, if you have a career in mind with French. Mostly things like these i guess, but don't forget to put about all the other important things as well like if you play any intruments, sports etc.

Explain why you want to study it. Have you ever visited the country? How did you become interested in the first place? What made you pick French over everything else? What outside interests do you have that relate to French?

Do you smoke ze vury tiny cigarettes?

joke. Just what everyone else said; make sure your passion comes through. Pick up things you particularly enjoyed learning or reading. Don't lie about it, there's no point saying you loved Cyrano de Bergerac when the closest you've got is watching Roxanne with Steve Martin because if you get an interview, you'll look a total crétin.
