Is it exactly the same as A-level? That's what my accounting teacher at college told me.

Presumably some people will start the course without an accounting A level, so some elements may be similar.

Can anyone studying accounting in their first year verify if it is completely the same. You don't need A level accounting to study it at uni, so you will at leat cover that, but are there other things as well?

I've not studied Accounting at A-level, so perhaps I can't really answer this.
But, I'm in my first year, studying Accounting and Finance at Cardiff.
My first semester has exactly the same modules as the Accounting course. [No optional modules, all compulsory]

Modules in 1st Semester include: Introduction to Economics, Principles of Business Management, Legal Studies, Professional Accounting & Information Management, as well as 'Applied Statistics and Maths in Economics and Business'
