.Yesterday the city of Manchester witnessed the clashes between the so-called EDL (English Defence League) and the counter protesters the UAF (Unite Against Fascism).

It was an ugly scene and extremely disturbing. The EDL say they are against racism and oppose radical Islam, and Sharia law. Not Muslims.
I however think this is forming into a nasty racial group. It seem that very few members and followers of the EDL actually know what they stand for and the rest were mainly thugs and hooligans out to cause a scene of violence.

They state that they are non racist and are protecting their English heritage, however i witnessed many making nazi salutes. This i feel is an absolute contradiction as their forefathers fought against this very fascism and so called 'white power'.

Below i have added some links to youtube videos and WebPages

****'s sake, the EDL have **** all to do with "British society", they're just a group of overexcited football hooligans. British society is certainly not "breaking down". Stop giving them so much publicity and attention, and maybe they'll go away.

I'm more worried about the UAF then people who want to deport radical islamists. What business is it of the UAF to turn up to EDL demonstrations?

UAF is about smearing groups institutional politics is uncomfortable with. That is all it exists for.

It personally pisses me off to see Muslims throwing stones at English people demonstrating against terrorists.

The EDL sound overexcited while the UAF are pretty hysterical. Most of Manchester was just cheesed off they couldn't get to Primark without going near a pack of irrelavant fools.

Protesting against terrorists is the most pointless activity ever.

I had to spend £2.60 on the bus in instead of taking the train and walking across Piccadilly for 95p! :eek3: It was a travesty.

And that is pretty much what anyone I've spoken to thinks about it too :p:

Not when your government allows them and their sympathisers to stay in your country. It is a very sick situation where there is a group of guests in a nation that chant for the bombing of government offices (bomb bomb downing street anyone?), are hostile to your military because the guests hold loyalties to other nations outside of your boarders (treatment of UK military due to war with Muslims in Asia) and flout the social conventions of your culture (dressing young girls up in Niqab for example). The EDL are right to protest against terrorists, their moral sympathisers and their supporting culture because all these activities are enabled by the government.

You have a very strange interpretation of history. Britain did not go to war with fascists because of what Germany was doing within its own boarders but rather it went to war to protect Poland. Hell, a lot of people thought Hitler had a point about the Sudentland Germans.

Everything about concentration camps only really emerged towards the end of the war after 1944. The war was not about fascism but about German expansionism. They are very different things.

P.S. Germans were national socialists, not fascists.

Guests? Many of them are British citizens and are no more of a 'guest' to the country than you are. They have as much right to protest against something they don't agree with as the idiots protesting against 'terrorism'. Which I think is a convenient excuse to protest against immigration without being arrested for inciting racial hatred.

Doesn't that statement chill your blood?

As for being guests - whilst they practice a foreign culture they cannot expect to be treated as anything else. If I was born in China and acted and pretended as if I were European - I would have no right to stake a claim to be a part of the Chinese nation, likewise here.

The door is open to these people to be members of our society - they just choose not to step through it.

In your view my interpretation of history may very well be strange, but to me your interpretation Is even stranger.

P.S. HITLER was a FASCIST! AND IS LITERALLY WORSHIPPED BY FASCISTS TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Benito Mussolini was a fascist, Hitler - like I said - was a national socialist. Nazi is a contraction of the term national socialist. Get your facts right. The only fascists worshipping Hitler are misguided souls, as are the people labelling socialists fascists.

    How is my interpretation strange?

Hitler wasn't gassing people in Auschwitz in 1939 was he? Claiming that's why we went to war is just bizarre - it didn't even happen then!

We went to war because of German expansionism and a desire to maintain the balance of power in Europe* - war was declared because of Germany's attack on Poland. This is pure fact. Your historical revisionism is highly simplistic and downright false. It is a lie.

*You will find this is a cause that the British has been involved in for over 600 years on the continent. Unfortunately it is not romantic enough for an age ruled by ideologies.

Maybe YOUR ancestors should not have colonised their land and stole their riches in the first place? And also then have the nerve to ‘invite’ them to live, work and fight for Britain.. maybe this is payback time???? lol in the form of benefits as the 'EDL' are claiming...
