Hmm - clever, but I would feel dreadfully guilty if i was "ill" or even genuinely ill (I'd probably go in if I was ill, since I'm a workaholic), and my guilt would probably explode sometime during next year.

Plus I'd have to somehow get a doctor's certificate to prove I was "ill"/ill - And even so, you're not even guaranteed to get the grade you were predicted; the board can turn down the proposal!

No - I'd rather work for them thanks.

I was hoping for 3 (English, ICT and History) but I messed up my first History paper, so now I'm hoping for an A. Still hope to get the other two, though.

i'm hoping for a grade that i deserve. The amount of revision i did hopefully pays off. I cant say i'll be getting a definite A* on a certain subject because you could never know.

im just hoping for the best i can get. im not gonna say how many A*'s i'm expecting because knowing my luck it will jinx it. an A* in german would be great though since i think (and hope) i did really well in those tests.

    I'm hoping.

    Am I confident?

    Not very.

I'm consolling myself with the idea that, if I fail all of my GCSEs, at least I've got that one, solitary A* for maths.

I'm a bit nervous about the result. Remind me not to come on hear if my results turn out to be abysmal - I'll inevitably be green with envy when I read what everyone else has achieved!

I am aiming for 6 A* which sounds alot, but I won't get all of them. I'll be happy with 1, anything more than that would be amazing.

A* Francais svp! That's the one subject i will cry over if i don't get an A* in. I got an A* in my mocks so i'll know i could have done better. I'm just hoping for C's and B's in everything else. I have a really bad feeling that i'm not going to do as well as i did in the mocks. Oh weeell not much i can do now about it ey.
I know exactly how u feel. I got an A* in the mocks, and an A overall, gutted. I was the best in my school at one point bar none, (and i go to a grammar school, sorry for being cocky ) and then i go and get an A. I just thought the exams were going to be a breeze and just took an extremely lazy attitude. Ah well, still a couple more chances to get those elusive A*s

Have you taken maths already? Or do you just know that the exam went extremely well?

I took the exam last year. Those in the top set in my year had the opportunity to do sit the maths GCSE in Year 10.

I don't dare predict what grades I'll get!

Well - remember that even though grades are important, so too is personality... I'm sure most of us are both charming and intelligent people, who will dazzle and shine in their uni. interview (or at least let's hope so!). :p:

I fail to see how they couldn't let us "charming and intelligent" people in. :p:

And anyway if that fails, we can always just pay 'em.

    Possible A* in Art

Why does Art have to be so hard?

Plus, what annoys me is that people who are genuinely talented at Art, but are under-resourced, or arty-language-illiterate can't get A*s in the subject...

Hmpf. One of many exams which I don't like for being designed badly (and perhaps for being the one subject where I'm not predicted an A* :p: )
