    Thats Mbekis problem, itd be like turning on an ally, mandela has had same problem over being mates with castro, arafat and quadaffi.

    Another case of western hypocrisy as we have long supported people who head regimes which carry out abuses.

    That's as may be. It must still be very difficult to turn your back on an ally, particularly one who fought alongside you to bring down the system that you fought against for over forty years.
