    ..that you're As level in which you have dropped can be used as part of the offer?
    cardiff university says that you need 300-320 points with 3.5 a-levels..what is that equivalent to?

    3 A-levels and 1 AS Level, as an AS is half of an A level.

    .5 A level = 1/2 of A level = AS level = pretty simple huh?

    As the others have said, so 300 UCAS points could be something like BBCe or ACCe or BCCc or CCCa or something like that.

    An AS level is half an A-level. So if they are asking for a certain number of points from three and a half A-levels then they usually mean 3 A-levels and an AS (2 A-levels and 3 AS levels is techincally the equaivalent but whether or not they'll accept two AS levels in place of a third A-level I cannot say).

    So any of these grade combinations are 300+ points

    BBCc
    BBBd
