Does anyone have any information about St. Gallen in general, or the Master in Banking and Finance in particular?
Is it worth to do? or just a random non-competitive course?

St. Gallen is the leading business school in the german speaking countries. And afaik (at least for undergrads) there is a quote on the amount of foreign students, so it should be fairly competitive.

St. Gallen is a very good uni, but for some reason it doesn't do very well at marketing itself internationally. It is said that UBS and Credit Suisse recruit heavily from the master in banking and finance, but I don't know if it's a competitive programme.

Yes it is. But as far as I am informed, you can only take these studium generale courses as the compulsory courses of the first Master semester are only offered in the autumn semester.

What do you guys know about the recognition of the MBF and St Gallen university in general? I am considering applying for this course....

Seems that although you can start the Master of Arts in International Affairs and Governance (MIA) in February, foreign applicants can only start the Master of Arts in Banking and Finance (MBF) in September.
Also a 650+ GMAT is needed, so the program does seem to be quite competitive.
