Being from Manchester it kills me to say this, but it's Liverpool. Even if The Beatles were the only band ever to come from there it would still be Liverpool.

I disagree EVEN with the Beatles. If you look at it band by band then Manchester is far beyond Liverpool. I read in an international music mag once that nothing could touch Seattle or Manchester for music.

I mean. OK. The Beatles one of the best bands of all time, if not the best band of all time.

Then who have Liverpool got?

I love Sheffield,
but our music scene in my opinion is very week.
I voted London; simply because there's where a lot of musical talent I hear about has come from there.

Smiths, Fall, Oasis, Joy Division, New Order, Buzzcocks, Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, M People, Elbow, Inspiral Carpets, James, Doves, Verve, Courteeners, Twisted Wheel, Ting Tings, Simply Red, Take That. Probably more ive forgotton and I cant say i like them all, but you cant argue with that. Manchester, hands down.
