Hi. A newbie here; to this forum, and to the working world..
    I'm 18 and I've never had a job/interview before in my life.
Iv just recieved an email stating that I've been invited to attend an interview/trial shift, and to wear "smart-dress". Obviously, never having an interview before, I have no clue as of just how smart, smart-dress is. Im pretty sure its not a suit, but then what else can i wear that isnt casual?

    Any ideas?
Help would be very much appreciated, as the interview's in a couple of days, and at the moment I'm very nervous.:eek3:

As much as the answers you have already are helpful... Always black trousers and black shoes, but on the top you can mix it up a bit, maybe a shirt and a plain v neck jumper just to make it a bit more casual and comofortable. Banana hammock optional!
