So I had my first day as a fresher yesterday with three hours of lectures, a three hour labs and a tutorial. I didn't finish until seven! But I'm not complaining too much. My main concern is that nothing is sinking in. Today I just stayed home and read the core texts I was supposed to but I just feel totally lost.

I mean how am I supposed to read around a subject? Do I just clarify the things I don't understand in lectures? Do I read every journal, book and paper that is referenced in the core texts?

I just...don't know. Supposedly this week it's all introduction to psychology stuff, but I feel like I'm not doing enough. D:

Secondly does anyone have any advice for a time table that changes every week? o.o As I don't know what my workload is like yet I have no idea how to plan and as we're constantly filtering into new buildings as old ones are completed I'm finding myself even more confused.

I feel the same way as you to be honest. I'm taking Psychology too....

I'm fine in my Introduction to Psychology module, as we're doing Developmental Psychology, and I'm really enjoying it, but then we're also doing a module in Investigating Psychology, which so far has just gone right over my head - I've never been so confused!

I've also taken Criminology, and the lectures are fine, but the seminar readings are just so confusing!

So yes, I'm struggling at little bit to be honest Any recommended books are full chapters so far for me, yet we haven't studied everything in the chapter, so that gets really confusing!

I can't say I'm really liking university life
