should you try something different with each new heading on your site or keep headings consistent in size, colour etc?

should it be main headings which are a bit different, then the less important ones all the same?

is it always best to avoid backgrounds? if not, when are backgrounds a good idea, and what looks good as a background?

would a dimmed version of your site's domain name/title name be a good idea for a background?

i'm writing about rubik's cubes, so should i put them in the background, dimmed? if for each step, if i put a dimmed picture of what the cube would look like at the end of the step as a background, do you think that would be decent?

any other advice would be good too...best font/font size for the actual text after your page titles and headings etc? should you vary font size/font of the text (which isn't titles and headings) from page to page?

any other advice about making a webpage look decent?
