How's everybody looking forward to the OCR Core 4 exam? If it's anything like as hard as the M1 exam, God help us!!!!

I am very very nervous about it!! Normally I find that out of maths papers one is always hard and one is always easy. So as C3 was a doddle C4 is going to be horrible!!!

C3 easy? I found it really hard;couldn't do any of the very last question. Although, i may have found it hard cos i'm doing it a year early, haven't been taught properly, had M1 just before and also i go to a school where they can't even be bothered to buy any Core 3 or 4 textbooks.
    Bring on C4!

Our teachers let us do C3 first so I didn't have the cloud of M1 hanging over me when I did it!

You didn't have text books??? That's shocking  We got them around easter but they were SO useful. (Our books are great they put the covers on upside down so when you open them it looks like you are reading the book upside down!!! )

Guess our school's too stingy. The other set got Core 1 and 2 books, but we've been doing the whole course on old P1, 2 and 3 books and having to adjust it for ourselves. Doesn't help having a poor teacher either. If I get above a C its gonna be a total fluke, i reckon.

We've been using the P1,2 and 3 books - it's been fine! It's almost exactly the same material, just split up differently.

Anyway I am getting ready to fail C4 miserably... it has the horrible bits of calculus. I remember back in the good old days of C1 and C2 when that stuff was easy...

Implicit differentiation does my head in. And I always muck up separating the variables. Then again by some miracle I managed to get 47% in the mock.

I've been revising for a few hours and can only seem to do the "hard stuff" but none of the stuff like binomial expansion and rational functions anymore!! I'm sunk...

In the mock I thought I'd done so well getting around 60% but then this genius in my class got 98% and I got v.depressed! The other day he asked my teacher if he could resit the paper if he got 98% again!!!
