Oh sorry - I was a bit slow on picking up the "tension" between you two (created by the "Medicine at Oxbridge" post?).

I'm so stupid! I always take everything literally! :p:
lol-NM-do you do critical thinking or know something about it? is it as the name suggests or is more of a 'logic' based exam?

God no - I'm still doing GCSEs! It just so happened that 2 years ago my Latin and Ancient Greek teacher was head of Critical Thinking, and he urged us to take it for A-Level; he showed us a paper in class. And wasn't it just the dullest Greek lesson in the world - 25 minutes of reading "ATHENAZE", and then 15 minutes of Critical thinking....

I still remember that as being the worst Greek lesson in my life (and that's saying something ).

Hmmm - I gave up Greek as soon as I could, and then Latin last year... But then I suppose I don't really like Language - As I said... I actually enjoy Physics (I'm more sciency!). I did, however, learn a lot about etymology .

    Everyone to their own taste!

the 24th i assume, we should get them that day!
They get them on exactly the same day by post, but they all have to go in really early so that they can sort through them and put them into the envelopes etc. etc.

Lolara--what is critical thinking? I've always been curious!
Hey, sorry about the wait. Critical thinking is just avalible as an AS at the moment I think, and only at some schools. Next year when i do it, will be the first year its been offered at my school. Its not really meant to be a whole subject, its like an extra one, with fewer lessons per week and its supposed to develop your writing skills by essay writing and debating general topics. Its supposed to be skills based, rather than content based, and is highly regarded by unis (from what i've heard).

Anyone elses school or future college offer it?
