I don't get that. Just when do you people finish your school year? I did my final exams back in mid November, and now I'm waiting for the results. Just as my mail man *evil chuckle*

What kind of a school year is that? Stay with me here, but say you were in grade 9 at school... When would you start, and when would you finish?

I would not say you were that old compared to some people. There are a few that are older they just dont act it

grade 9 being what sort of age?

Don't you have your long summer holiday over Christmas in Austrailia anyway? Most schools in the Uk only have 2 weeks for Christmas, universities get longer though, I finish on friday for a month, yay! Senester one exams when I get back though, not good, ruins my holiday, have to spend valuable socialising time studying!

That is so strange. Here in the land of Oz you start in Late January/Early February (depends on whether you're public or privately edumahcated) and they finish up just before Christmas and the end of the year. Is Australia the only country to do this the normal way?

yeah six to eight weeks over Christmas, depending again upon whether privately or publically educated, its great stuff really. Finish a week or two before Christmas, get that over with, then you have new years, and another month or so of just hanging with mates etc. Rivers, lakes, football ovals become infested with yongsters of all ages.

I guess most places in the southern hemisphere do it like that, coz noone would want their big holiday in the middle of winter! December thru to February is very cold and wet here in the uk!

Thats a good point, I can't imagine what it would have been like riding the old tredley around in the middle of winter.
