Thing on my little finger

I've got this weird thing on the little finger of my right hand. It's from rubbing against the page when I'm writing and it's loads of dead skin, but it also sticks out like a wart as well (it's definitely not). I pick at it but it never goes away, even when I haven't written anything for a few days - like now I haven't picked up a pen since Wednesday. Any ideas how to make it go away?

Use a pumice stone? I have something that sounds similar on my hands, except it's from rowing and on the fleshy part underneath my fingers..

is it like dead skin with like an air pocket underneath, coz i get them on thebends of my fingers, from indoor rowing like f.poste, i just peel away the dead skin then its fine

Ooo my friend gets those when she writes too much. It should go away by itself in a few more days.

They sell creams for calluses in boots or any pharmacy, it helps soften and remove the hard skin. Read the packet to check it's not too strong because they are usually for feet and hand skin is more delicate.

I get one on my fourth finger, but it'll go away, give it a fortnight or so.

i can't ignore it, i'm one of those people who picks and picks until it hurts! i'll try moisturiser and the great idea of not writing for three months
I've had a little lump on my finger for as long as I remember. I guess I write a lot! Gets especially bad during the exam period but isn't all that noticable otherwise.

Get a pair of scissors and cut it off.

Or not. I have a spectacular collection of rowing calluses and I wouldn't cut them off, it'd just make a mess and heal nastily. If you want it to go then use pumice and keep it moisturised.

i get one on my middle finger and during exams i just pop a plaster on because it a) stops it getting tons worse cos of so much writing and b) stops me picking at it when i'm nervous (or bored at the end of an exam)

i have a beuty on my right middle finger. it goes concave when i write long essays, so the pen fits snugly in it.

pummice stone works, but generally just leave it be. everyone has them, and they really arent noticable!
