    c) its because a line of y=mx passes through the origin, and is between 0 and 1/e. when m=0 you get y=x=lnx, which you can see from a graph plotted that it meets opn x-axis, and from eqtn 0=ln2, x=1

    do same for the 1/e, and cos they are no t.p. etc, this is the only region

    e) and for this one, knwo the answer you got for x in d)- just take ±0.0005 of teh increment to either side, plug into lnx-x/3 and observe the sign change - because you did it to 4th dp, its acurate to 3dp,
