    Somebody on told me that the BBC measure the temperatures in the shade, so that 25c would have been the shade temperature.

    i've no idea, and for e.g. the temp in your car's dashboard will always be higher close the engine is much hotter and your close to the road which has a lot of heat on it from the sun's rays.

    Because there needs to be consinstancy in the temperatures, its not always sunny but there is always a shade, so in order to keep things constistant they only measure temperatures in the shade.

    This why they often say on the weather forcast maximum temperature will be 28c but it will rise significiently (sp) in the sun.

    Most of them do have some kind of compensation for that though but it isn't really accurate, to be honest those guages are a waste of space.

    york is cooler coz its up in the north, october is a pleasant time of year if theres sunny weather. a nice crispy kind of cold

    so abt how mnay degree?erm coz in singapore hardly anyone goes out in long sleeves or jacket for the matter so i dun really have any idea what kind of clothes to get.I dun really wanna freeze there =P
