I took this exam 2day 2, REALLY hard! I could only do the f(x) question completely and the rest I just did bits of - probably got it all wrong... bring on my U

The boy next to me did nothing for the first hour and then cried silently...

that was ok. i hope i get an A. the hard one was the 7 marker which gave you dy/dx as a+bx and asked you to figure out the equation of the curve. i got 3x^2 - 3x + 6 (x^2 - x + 2) or something like that. and the other hard one was the circle with the radius and the line that cut it.

i thought it was ok. sectiona lokked well hard but it all seemed to click when i went through it again. its a bit like lateral thinking i.e. comin back to the question with a new approach. did any of you realize that you had to intewgrate to find the distaNCE(s) in one of the questions. our teacher made us a copy of like all past paers and wrote some himself, it was well hrlpful so like 1days work= 3-4hrs would cover the whole thing.

I think the approx grade boundaries are (out of 100):
    A: 67
    B: 58
    C: 52
    D: 44
    E: 38
    U: Under 38
I though the boundaries were approx
    A:80
    B:70
    C:60
    D:50
    E:40
    40>U

can someone confirm which set are correct

80 seems a bit high for an A

I was told those boundaries by my teacher, but I'm not sure if that was to encourages us top try harder, but she said it was marked on A level boundaries, ie 80%A 70%B 60% C etc
Obviuosly the marks would have to be standardised and fiddle with to account for the difficulty/ease of the test.

Saying that I wouldn't complain if it was the first set of boundaries
