D2 Simplex Algorithm Exam Tomorrow! watch

1. Righty quick question. When you are trying find the pivotal row, you do the RHS divided by the value in the pitvol column. You then chose the smallest answer as the pivotal row, but what are the restrictions? eg not negative values or zero etc??

Cheers.
2. Oh and anyone got any revision notes for it?
3. yep u choose the least positive number for the theta value ignoring any negative numbers.
4. i wish i could have done D2 but my school dont teach it
5. So if theres a 0 i chose that? I'm never sure whether its classed as postive, negative or confused! I've got 2 sets of notes that contadict each other, hense my puzzledness

Other than simplex I love D2, sooo easy! Altho I've gotta pass the exam yet
6. i highly doubt that there would a 0 for the theta value.
i have never come across one that is but if for som reason it comes up, i would prob leave it and go for another one.

I too am not so sure bout this.
7. It does come up, thats the problem Anyone?
8. ok i just found one that did, sorry but that earlier,
If the theta value is zero then u ignore it.
It has to be the least positive theta value and does not include zero.
9. hmm what if u only have values that are 0 or infinity???
10. then u might have done something wrong with the calculations.

If all else fails, the question would end there
11. I have a plan. Cross my finger & cross my toes that it doesn't come up!

Cheers, dude, back to revision now!
12. Hope everything goes well with ur exam.
Good Luck
