I am taking my A levels this week and one examination is *not* in the usual Exam hall, (School Hall/Gymnasium,) but in a normal classroom.

I wonder if they try and make us sit at "normal" school desks, ie - 2 sharing, if that is allowed?

I'm hoping they'll bring in single examination desks to the classroom, but wondered the rules on sharing desks or if anyone has any experience of this?

    Opinions greatly appreciated...

ps - Sorry, to explain, don't fancy sitting so close to someone in exam conditions and in this heat. Think it would be unreasonable of them to ask us to... Dx

When we had an exam in a normal class room we sat on the normal desks but on opposite sides of them if that makes sense, so you weren't actually sitting next to anyone.

We did psych4 and english in a classroom and we were on separate tables - i totally understand about not wanting to sit that close to someone coz i would be scared of them copying! I don't think they're allowed to sit you together. Also - are you not just in a classroom coz there's only a few people doing the exam?

Do you think it would be wrong to kick up a fuss if they tried to seat us in twos for an A2 exam?

I'd find that offputting, hot, crowded, and I'd be worried about cheating..

What do you think? Are there any rules on this?

    Thanks D xxx

I was in the meetings room for French because there are only 5 of us doing it and we were as spread out as possible. I would have thought it will be the same for you, but if it's not, definitely say something to the invigilator.
