    Why is that? You think Burma can't purchase the equipment from other countries? You think too highly of the US; I think you do it so you can condemn it for anything that goes wrong in the world even when the US isn't even minutely involved.

    Bismarck, stop telling people to criticise Thailand, Malaysia et al. The fact is, we import goods from Burma and help to prop up their shambolic regime economically. Yes Thailand and Malaysia's actions are wrong, but more pressure does need to be put on the Burmese government.

    Also Nike, Puma and Adidas all have sweatshops in Burma, amongst other south-eastern Asian countries.

    Did the fact that it won't make any difference fly past you? A vast majority of Burmese trade is with Thailand, China, and India. Europe and the US are non-factors.
