Basically i didn't get my dad anything for fathers' day. Not even a card. My mum bought one and signed my name on it and she bought him a present. I haven't even said happy fathers' day to him and now i feel really bad. I wanted to but by the time i got out of bed it was about 4pm and thats a bit late in the day to be saying happy fathers' day to someone. Anyone else not did anything for their dad or forgot it or whatever or am i just a truly horrible daughter?

I haven't got my dad anything, and do you what he respects me for it becuase I have not fallen into the trap of commercialisation, I don't need some stupid day to buy my dad a present.

When I've got a job I want to buy my dad a new car, and it won't be on his birthday, christmas or fathers day It won't be much of a car either just somthing a bit newer than he already has.

    I haven't, and I don't think I have for a few years. Not because I don't like my dad, it's just...not that important.

Don't worry, neither did I because he's a failure. I bought him Steven Hawking's 'A Brief History of Time' last year and he flicked through and asked why there were no pictures. I rest my case.

Mothering Sunday (the proper name for Mothers' Day...) is actually religious, at least in origin - it's in the ecclesiastical calendar. It isn't 'made up', like Fathers' Day is.
