Strugling @ AS level Edexcel Chemistry topic1.4(energetics)+Hess law- any useful websites?
Specific for new 2008 spec for edexcel please.
I understand 1.3 and 1.5 but am finding energetics topic very difficult.
Some of the basics (e.g. what is exo? what is endo?) I am finding okay.. It's mainly how the calculations are set out, where to use what calculation, how to work out stuff using the triangle of energetics.
Our teacher didn't really explain it that well
Thanks so much, will give rep if someone helps me

The TSR chemistry wiki is a good place to start: http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/wiki...nergetics_-_06
Also: http://www.docbrown.info/page03/3_51energy.htm
though that might be a little basic.
If you are really confused I'd recommend investing in a revision book, I used CGP which explained everything pretty clearly but there are lots of others available too!

See this topic of mine: http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/show...php?p=19399321
It contains revision guides for many different Chem topics. Whilst this is the AQA syllabus, there is much crossover and you should find the energetics one particularly useful.
These helped me (and some other people by the looks of it :P) through the AS exams.
Hope they help
