# m2 projectiles question watch

1. can any1 do question6 in review ex 1.....im sure i need some more information, ie the time or suttin!
3. a golf ball is hot from a point O on horizontal ground and moves freely under gravity. the horzintal and vertical components of the inital velocity of the ball are 2u and u respectively. ball hits the horzizontal ground 80m away from O.

q) show u=14
4. vhorizontal = Shorizontal/t
2U = 80/t
t = 40/U

uvertical = U
Svertical = 0
t = 40/U
avertical = -g

S = ut + 1/2 a t²
0 = 40 + 1/2 . -9.8 . (40/U)²
40 = 4.9 (40/U)²
1/4.9 = 40/U²
U² = 40 x 4.9
U = 14
5. nice 1!!
6. hold on.....where id the first line come from!?
7. speed = distane / time
speed horizontal = distance moved horizontally / time taken
8. topdude hold on.....where id the first line come from!?

Its the equation of motion horizantally.Shorizontal =Vhorizontal *t
9. lol, u start doin all the hard stuff, and end up forgettin the basics
10. i noe..thz hw i lose most of my marks,silly mistakes!!
11. i find its just easier to remember the suvat equations then the specific hor/vert equations and then work out stuff from there.
in this case s=ut + 1/2 at^2
however horizontally a=o
therefore s=ut
another example is the max height one. whats the point in learning a new formula? so long as u know vertically, v=0 at max height ur ok.
