There are 2^10 ways to choose your topping (a Y/N choice to each of the toppings) and one of these is the no toppings option which is excluded. Argue similiarly for sauces.

As all the choices arel independent multiply the options together - so that there are

3 x (2^10-1) x 2 x (2^3-1) = 3 x 1023 x 2 x 7 = 42966
