    The y increasing bit at the end.. I just proved that it was a turning point (grad=0)and a minimum...
    Not sure if thats a valid method tho.
    thats what i did - all my logic goes out the window in exams - i did it in c1 too, the algebraic method has already been written in one of the C2 threads - its very obvious how to do it when you see the answer...

    I hope they'd have given us some marks for it, it is a method for proving that y increases after x=2, albeit there's nothing to say that it didnt go straight back down again...
