# Edexcel C3 Jun 05 - How Did It Go? watch

i dunno y, but i found this paper rather hard, normally i sit back and relax when i do C3 and finish with time left but... i was rushing towards the end of this paper, did any one else find that this exam was much more tight on time then the other mocks/past papers?

yeah finished it about 5 mins b4 the exam time ended

I got 3.30. surely if the other value is also correct, it shouldnt really matter, you are jus givin extra info. Its like answering 12/3 = 4 and adding at the end btw 9/3 = 3 (lol how stupid does dat sound)
4. I messed up that show dy/dx = -8/(x-1)^3 (6 marks) Might've got 3 or 4 for method.

Other than that I thought the paper was quite easy. Everyone seems to have put 14 years for that bit at the end. I put 13.9 years, which I think it was to 3.s.f, so I'm not sure whether or not I'll be penalised.
5. Who isn't doing f/maths who took C3 today?? (just to get an idea how competitive the UMS scores will be)...

I'm not doing further maths. I sat P1 and P2 last summer and declined them to do the new syllabus. Did S1 in november, C1 and C2 in january, C3 today, S2 in 2 days and C4 in 8 days.

in which case f`(x) =
1. f`(x) = 3sin2x + 2sec2xtan2x
2. f`(x) = 3(1 + 1/x)(x + ln 2x)²

i am technically doing FM, but an currently in Year 12 so I haven't done any FP units yet... I'm doing M2 on Fri, and C4 in Jan... and then entire AS & A2 FM in June 2006... most ppl in my school who took C3 didn't find it that hard.

not doing further Maths. did D1 P1 and P2 last summer.
then had 2 scrap the P marks and did S1 C1 C2 in jan
then just doing C3 nd C4 this summer

6sinxcosx can be simplified to 3sin2x... i thought this was necessary cuz the sec and tan terms are 2x...
