well yes it was a gr8 performance by the NYO i know quite i few stringies in the orchestra
who do you know? I'm in nyo! well I was, but have to leave since I'm going to music college in september!
I play the horn (quite well) and the piano (atrociously) and some irish trad instruments (tin whistle and flute- hi tammy-girl!)
I would love to join this society, don't know how I've missed it before!

Anyone here know where I could find a nice book of relatively easy, but nice sounding, Piano sonatas? I want to keep up my Piano skills in university, but I don't think I will have to time to master Chopin or Beethovens Sonata in C. Any suggestions?

You can get some Clementi. I like that. Or there are some easy sonata books you can look for

Mozart's sonatas are apparently not too difficult and quite fun to play.

Do you play anything CharXlotte?! What music do you like!?
I play piano, and I like a bit of everything.. I'm a sucker for romantic, though baroque and classical are great too. My fav piece has to be Mendelssohn's 'Midsummer Night's Dream' overture!

ooh that must mean you know the twins who play violin and 'cello, Charis and Kirsten

And if you've been nyo'ing for awhile you might even know Tim ('cello), Matt (trombone) or Dirty Douggie (trombone)!
