    I usually love romantic period and film music. But sort of early 20th century stuff's pretty good too, like Bartok and the like...
    Am not such a great fan of Mozart - I think his last compositions are fab but the rest seems a bit repetitive...

    so true... pretty sad what happened to him in the end... apparently they don't even know his grave... how are they supposed to celebrate his whatever bday this year if they don't even know where he's buried...

    It was very common in those days for people to be buried in mass graves unless they were royalty or very rich. It was partly Mozart's fault because he was so terrible with money.

    The usual ones!! piano concertos, his preludes, rhapsody on a theme of paganini, 2nd symphony.

    I so LOVE the second piano concerto... my fave one... an in that especially the first like 2 minutes of the first movement... ahhh

    Going to see a Schubert opera tomorrow... something with 'Alonso' in the title Should be good!!

    Wow. Tbh I never knew Schubert had ever composed an opera... suppose it's going to be really interesting!

    I only sometimes now listen to classical music... sadly I haven't listened to Rachmaninov for a LONG LONG time... really need to catch up...

    What did you think of the last CD of Lang Lang? I was thinking of buying it, but some critics thought it was just bad... :wtf?:
