Just found out I have an interview, but iv never had one before...

Thing is I can only work untill I go uni in oct, so Im wondering if I should lie and say ill be available for longer, otherwise they wont give me the job will they.

Also, what kind of questions will they ask me? I have NO idea.

The man said itll last a few hours  but thats probably because there will be lots of people there, and ill have to wait.

I would say if it is a full time position you're going for then LIE lol. Questions they might ask....if they wanted to be mean they could do a 'group interview' by the sounds of it you may well be having one!

In the 'interview' when I went to comet they made us interview each other, gave us a set of Qs to ask each other, it was stupid really, one of the Qs was 'what are you famous for?' I was like wtf so I said I'm not famous lol didn't get the Q, don't think many other people did either, some people took it literally (like me) whereas others were like I'm famous for good time keeping.

But if it's a regular interview....
    - Strengths/Weaknesses
    - Tell me a bit about yourself...
    - what are you passionate about (relate to something at Toys R us if possible)
    - Would you be comfortable with "add on" sales. For this say, I would definetly be. What I'd say would be "we are doing.... for ..... Which ones can I tempt you with/what ones do you want"?
    - When have you worked in teams
    - When are you available. Say: whenever you want me.
    - Why should I pick you over other people

Just general stuff like that really I would imagine, don't forget to shake hands and be polite, say thank you!

    Thanks!

The group ones sounds really bad, and I think thats what I will have cos otherwise he wouldnt say 'a few hours'. Did you get into Comet in the end, cos it sounds like itd be hard for them to pick if the candidates interview themselves.

Nope I didn't get the job, although they said they kept my name on a list and would contact me if any future jobs came up. I didn't like the group interview after you had interviewed each other you had to tell the rest of the people there about the person you had just interviewed.

good luck, you'll need it if it's a group interview lol :p:
