Is a degree from the Open University considered equal to a 'proper' degree?

There is a possibility that a form of Social Anxiety may come from this form of self study.

what are you talking about?

People who do open uni dont spend all day and night sat on their own, they have jobs and families and social lives just like regular students. I dont even know why im carrying on , but for what its worth: even if somebody did spend 24/7 alone it wouldnt cause social anxiety. Social anxiety is a disorder which RESULTS in isolation, it isnt CAUSED by it. It is caused by having negative reactions to bad social experiences.

I love how you signed up especially to make that comment, I really do. Why is it that people like yourself need to slag off the Open Uni without knowing anything about it?

They haven't been back since. Maybe the burning shame is too much...

LOL, what garbage.
Well, no response from Newcastle medicine yet. But UCL and Bristol certainly seem to think the OU degree is 'proper', I've been given offers to study there for next year .

Congrats blacklight :woo:
Thanks, I'm rather pleased! Anyway, study at the OU is definitely one of the best life choices I've made. It'll always be one of my favourite institutions, since it basically gave me a stab at something I'd likely never have the opportunity to do otherwise.

I'm going to miss the summer schools! Maybe I'll do more in the long term future.
