# S2 watch

1. p57 Q11, S2 Heinemann modular maths,

I cant find anywhere, where there are dual functions pdf--> cdf with two limits I can get the cdf, but I dont know what to do to find the quartiles q1,q2 or q3 i know you are supposed to let the equal .25, .5, .75 etc but what do you do when there are two functions??
0 x<0
i.e x/4 0<x<1
x^4/20 + 1/5 1<x<2
1 x>2

Any help is appreciated
2. Well, just look at the maximums and minimums of both the ranges..Q1 is obviously x=1 , and Q2 and Q3 must be in the range above it...
3. Thanks
