Is it true that if you are invited to imperial you are highly likely to get and offer as long as you don't mess it up completely?
I don't think any of us here have any figures to find out if that is true or not, but it seems during interviews, the lecturers are seeking students who are enthusiastic about the subject (doesn't mean you have to know anything) and also willing/able to learn.
For the JMC course, Do you HAVE to have an AS in Further Maths?
Even if they let you in, you'll fail miserably with just AS Further Maths. Ideally, A2 (or, in fact, A2 + some more pure stuff).
Okay, slight exaggeration. You won't fail miserably, but you'll find that what should have been taught to you over 2 years has now been done in 60 minutes, and unsurprisingly, you don't get it (but everyone else does).
I only doing Maths, ICT, Economics and Technology for A-level (All full to A2).
Our school isn't providing Further maths, due to insufficient numbers.
ICT?
Self-teach then. In truth, you shouldn't find it too difficult if you're to survive at Imperial (I'm probably going to end up swapping to straight computing over the summer anyway). I remember reading, when I applied, that they expect Physics where Further Maths can't be provided. Can't you do Physics at least?

ICT = Information and Communication Teachnology (basically Computer studies)
Physics wasn't available either, Because of full classes :/
I am probably just going to apply for computing only.
It has been more than 2 weeks since my interview and Imperial still hasn't responded...It's getting me nervous and a bit worried now, as my interviewer told me the decision will be available shortly after the interview...

Out of curiosity, how many of the people who have applied for/got an interview or offer for Computing are female? On my interview day I think I saw about 2 others; not sure if this was just my day or because there are hardly any in general...

I haven't seen many. I'd say on average 5 every interview day so far (very rough estimate). Overseas students normally don't come for interviews though, so there are probably more who have applied.
Doesn't matter. They'll only ask your maths/logic questions.

PM me any question would be really helpful
Even if you can't do any of the questions yourself, it wont matter. ASK FOR HELP, and you'll be fine. If you're too afraid to ask, you're not what Imperial wants.

I remember there must have been something like 5-6 girls at my interview day last year, which is a fairly good indication of the female:male ratio in the course (in the first year we have something like 16 girls to 160 total students if you count JMC).

Seems slightly disappointing, but it's probably very similar at all unis. I hope they are not alienated...
