# M2 OCR question watch

1. Hi, can anyone help me with this question please? (see attatchment below)

2. work done by air resistance = change in GPE
0.1g*10 = 0.1g*6 + wd
wd = 0.4g = 3.92J

the work was done over a distance of 16m.

3.92/16 = 0.245N

GPE:
0.1g*6 = 5.88J

work done by air resistance against motion
-0.245*6 = -1.47J

increase in KE:
.5*0.1*v2

initial energy = final overall energy
5.88 = 1.47 + 0.05v2
0.05v2 = 4.41
v2 = 4.41/0.05
v2 = 88.2
v= 9.39msv-2

initial energy = final energy
0.5*0.1(88.2) = h*0.1g + 0.245h
4.41 = h(0.1g + 2.45)
h = 3.6m
