I'm not an expert on such situations but i'd advise you to go see the exams officer at your centre tomorrow morning. They are likely to then contact the exam board so the papers are traced and the error can be corrected. It will probably be much easier to sort out if you consistently wrote the same wrong number but remember you also wrote your name and centre on the paper.
How did you write on the wrong candidate number? Don't your centre give you a piece of card with your information on?

I consistently wrote the wrong number but today I realised it and wrote the right one. I was dippy and had put a 1 as the last digit rather than 0 Oh well will go sort it out tomorrow. Thanks xx mxox

I would contact your examinations officer. I don' think there would be any consequences, as you wrote the right center number and your full name. Therefore, you would be fine. All they have to do is just track it down.
