    June 2002

    - The structure of DNA and the effects of point mutation
    -Chemical coordination in animals and plants


    Jan 2003

    - Protein synthesis and the genetic modification of cells to produce new proteins
    - The roles of pigments in living organism


    June 2003

    - The structure of enzymes and their uses in commercial processes
    - The structures and functions of chloroplasts and mitochondria


    Jan 2004

    - The roles of proteins in living organisms
    - The structures and functions of different types of plant cells


    June 2004

    - The production and transport of metabolic wastes in mammals
    - The effects of light on flowering plants

    These are for Biology and NOT Biology (Human). 1 of each of the 2 essays would be Biology human - dunno which 1s though

    That'd be ok. Not sure if I could find enough to say though! I'd be like yeah, double helix... nucleotides... hydrogen bonding between the bases... point mutations deletion/insertion etc... frame shift. The end

    have to say the worst thing about the essays is trying to remember everything that's related to the title from all units

    I've been wondering for a while...
    We tried writing our own titles in class - just thinking of ANYTHING that could come up as a synoptic essay
    And we couldn't get any decent ones for Unit 3
    Cos NOTHING was synoptic

    So... what from unit 3 could come up?? :confused:

    Carbohydrate digestion- as heterotrphic nutrition- symbiotic relationship between cow and his belly bacteria

    food chains and food webs could come up in relation to control of insect pests- ie would disrupt webs

    human influences on environment- eg conservation, and struff from unit 3?

    Oh and can anyone list for me/give me a link to the roles of FSH, LH, Oestrogen and Progesterone, 'cos my notes seem a bit superficial.

    hum... i just hope we get a really open ended title there's not much to write about and hopefully nothing on plants. the only revision i'm going to do for this exam is in between the m2 exam in the morning and the bio exam in the afternoon tomorrow - so hard to revise for this unit 6... hopefully i'll remember everything i revised for the unit 5 exam though!
