My offer from UEA just came through and the conditions are easy, I guess I could already celebrate getting in if it wasn't for one detail... I came to the UK in year 11, couldn't speak much English and in the end I've completely messed up my English GCSE, ending up with a D. As ridiculous as it may sound, the only condition that truly worries me if the C or above in English GCSE. I'm retaking and it shouldn't be that hard, but I'm still extremely anxious. I'm so confused, don't know whether to be happy or prepare for a massive disappointment in August. Didn't tell my parents about it yet and I don't think I will, until it becomes completely clear whether I got in or not. It's killing me! Also in the email I got from UEA it says that "This offer is for EU Students". I wonder what does that mean? That I will have to pass IELTS? Or does that not mean anything?
Literally the exact same ones as me! Just not Sussex, &I'm from Leicester so that's just a last resort, what's your favourite?
I'm thinking UEA as it just seems like such a good uni, but I'm a little torn now. What about you? I've heard Leicester is supposedly a pretty decent uni.

Same here just undecided over Nottingham which I also loved, &yeah it is really good but literally round the corner from my house so not ideal for me

I know the feeling of wanting to get away from home I'm also still kinda considering Nottingham, but the overwhelming amount of positive reviews on the student experience at UEA is for me big plus in the UEA column. It's a though decision. Have you gotten an unconditional from Nottingham too?

Exactly ahah where are you from? &iknow I've done so much research and stalking of UEA students haha and it's all been mostly positive feedback &yes all my offers are unconditional which is nice but means I've got to be sure on my choice as there's no changing it

I'm from Denmark actually so I decided on the whole study away from home too Haha so have I and there's only so many ways in which you can find information, so I doubt anyone blames you for stalking Same here and it really makes it a lot more difficult. The downside about Nottingham & Birmingham for me is that there's all these Canadian modules too and I don't know how I feel about that.

Oh really wow! &does Birmingham do Canadian modules too I didn't realise that? I don't think you HAVE to do them at Nottingham though and I quite fancied going to Canada! You definitley get a lot more choices for the year abroad at UEA though, you should consider Birmingham it really is a brilliant uni and amazing student life just too close again for me like I know a lot of people going there, same with Nottingham really, I just hope UEA isn't too quiet for me and I end up regretting it://

Yeah both Birmingham & Nottingham have compulsory Canadian modules and it's not really what I want in my degree to be honest. You can totally go to Canada in your year abroad at UEA too, I read it on their site I feel the same way, but in the end, I think uni is what you make it You should totally choose UEA too And yes really
