I have an offer to study Economics & Management in Oxford, starting this October, but I think I'm getting cold feet. This makes me feel stupid, undeserving and worse, yet I'm not sure it's the course for me any more.
Do you think it would be possible to switch to read Engineering instead?
Being an international, I have all the formal requirements in order, having read physics and maths to roughly A-level equivalent.
so, if you could give me your thoughts on a few questions:
-how tough is the Engie course really? Do a lot of people fail? I have no problem working my a** off, but what if I'm simply not clever enough?
- have you heard of anyone else transferring to Engineering, either just after start of term or after year 1 of another course?
-It means I would have just two-three weeks to solve the Engie prep problems, some of which I find really challenging. Problematic?
- I'm starting Uni in a foreign country, knowing no one. Is this just a panic reaction? Is changing course a bad idea?
...I would be REALLY/EXTREMELY grateful =D =D =)
