I'm not sure getting dizzy is beneficial to any university application.

Extracurricular activities that demonstrate your interest in maths or engineering might be useful though. Examples might be design and build projects you have personally undertaken, attendance on engineering taster courses (e.g. Headstart), related work experience if you have any.
Engineering type:
General & Aeronautical

Name of College/Open Application:
Mansfield

Other universities applied to:
Loughborough, Durham, Bath, Imperial

Predicted A-levels(or equivalent):
A*A*A in Maths, Physics and Further

No offers yet & I sent my application over a week ago. How long does it typically take to get an offer for engineering in general? :colondollar:

No Oxbridge candidate would expect to have received an offer yet. Other universities could take anywhere from a few days to several months to make an offer.

I think not: it appears to be aimed at year 12 pupils only. There may be other schemes though.

Aero: Bath, Imperial and Loughborough. I don't think oxford offer it (i have since discovered they do mechanical amongst other specialisations also, but they are a lot more competitive than straight engineering so I'm glad I went for general anyway)

Nope, no offers so far. Mind you, the only uni on my list that has given out any offers at all is Bath, and I haven't heard of anyone receiving any offers for engineering at that.

I think this might be becuase enigneering sutdents pool around the same few universities, unlike other subjects which might cause our offers to come later. The only good unis I've heard of being really serious about handing out offers at the moment are york, warwick, bath and most of the scottish ones.
