They should have suspended the exam as soon as the fire alarm went off. A fire can spread very quickly in 3 minutes and your lives were put at risk. Someone is bound to get in trouble.

Thats just disturbing. I feel sorry for the girl though I bet people made fun of her for months after that. I don't think I'd be able to cope with everyone in my year taking the piss out of me.
Well I saw her put her hand up to ask to go, then one of the inviligators went to ask another one to accompany her but during that time she wet herself.

People did make fun of her and her friends tried to say she'd spilt her water but Ive never seen yellow water before  :p:

Depends where the fire was... the schools pretty big and it might have been right at the other end, besides at first no one knew whether it was real or not and it was most likely to have been a drill. Besides I wouldn't wanna sit through a whole physics exam again when I was 3 minutes to the end

The funniest thing was the teacher trying to muffle the fire alarm with revision guides.. and then making a bad joke: "Science in action people!!!".... people were on the verge of laughing (at how bad the joke was) and we were quickly deteriorating out of exam conditions and everyone had to try and calm down

They should evacuate the building when ever the alarm sounds, especially during the exam.

If it goes during your exam it is not a drill (unless your senior staff are idiots) as they won't purposely set off the alarm when they know your doing your exams.

True, it is most likely to be a false alarm (ie. yr 7 pressing the button for a laugh) but you cannot take the risk, the alarm is there to tell you that you are in danger and that you must leave the building and as I said if it goes off during the exam it won't be a planned drill so nobody will know in the short term why it has gone off.

Everyone should have been escorted out in silence and you given your 3 minutes once the building had been cleared by the fire service.

Hasn't happened to me yet, must be terrible. Hope they lynch the little *******s that press these buttons for a laugh. (note: i am against capital punishment, lynch was meant as an expression of anger and is not a statement of actual intent).

We have the IT office next to the sixth form exam room and the phone goes like every 10 minutes through every exam.

I bypassed the exams officer and went and told the IT technicians what I thought of them and their phone.

Someone pulled the alarm in the middle of my 3 hour Media GCSE! It was in our last week, so I'm postive one of the other Year 11s pulled it, our year group was famous for it!

Luckily there were only 40 of us in the hall, but we had to be escorted out and stood just outside in silence with the rest of the school laughing at us.
