but i said "do not reject H0" and said blah blah because of insufficient evidence etc.

do you think given i put H1 and H0 and also said reject h0 and also i think i might have put some working about 0.25 and reversing.
do you think i stand a chance of getting any marks at all?
me three - how many method marks do we get for saying the hypothesis thing and the actual distribution - i hope i get 6-7/10 for the method - had the method but used the wrong calues from the table - any got any ideas what the A-grade boundary might be for this module? anyone think it will be above 80% raw score? - i'm begging it wont!

Hmmm, well, I mucked up the end of the last question, because I forgot to convert back to recovery, still, I got the right value for non-recovery, so I should only have lost say 2 marks at most, right? Also, messed up a lot of the pdf/cdf question. I got part a) right, and I know I've got the skew question right. I used the right method for the mode, and so should have got the right answer, and should be right for the mean also, as it's relatively straightforward. Did some of the right method for the median, i.e. F(m) = o.5, but then mucked it up once I got to the quadratic, so, maybe like 2 marks for that question, possibly one. My sketch was terrible, but there is usually a mark for remembering to put 0 at either side, so there's one mark of the 4. Does anyone know how many that question was for altogether, so that I can calm myself down a little bit - I can still get an A with that right?

I reckon I’ve done the rest of the paper properly. So, say that’s, 2 marks lost on the last question, three on the sketch - how many was the median question? Anyway, then I’ll take off 5 for silly mistakes just to be sure. Eek… Uh-oh, now I’m scared.

I put something along the lines of the distribution obtained when all possible samples have been taken from a population.

I think I screwed up those definitions, but I'm sure 71/75 will be 100/100

Sketch was two marks
6. For the sketch, was it (0,0), (1.15, 0.77) and (2,0) and then a shape that resembled something of that of the normal distribution?
7. Mmm this was the hardest maths exam for me. From reading this thread looks like I didnt do that well, espeacially the very last qs, where got something like c = 5.

Now I am done with exams...

Hope so, that'd make me feel better. I really need an A. I have 90 and 78 from last year, plus resat M1, a guaranteed 79 in that, but I reckon I've much improved it. I'm very confident about P2, so hopefully that's an A there, but I'm estimating a B for P3 because I messed it up towards the end. So, yeah, I need reassurance that I can still have done well in S2 even with the questions I've messed up. Still, if I do well in M2 on Friday I can transfer it from Further Maths AS, it's just that, I can't see it. I hate this whole aiming for a grade thing, I do much better without the pressure.

Anyhoo, would like to contribute some of my seemingly correct answers
Forgive me for not remembering the question numbers...

1a) 125
b) √2.88 = 1.7

sampling unit = member of a sample
sampling frame = list of sampling units of population
sampling distribution = all possible samples against their values for a function

Bi(200,0.02)>Po(4) - i dont know why you needed to approximate for the first part of this question since it was doable in binomial but i changed to poisson anyway and used tables to avoid any calculating ???
poisson because n large and p small

2dp = 0.07

expected value for rectangular distribution = 4
variance = 4/3
between 3.4 and 2.3 = 0.275

1.07 (16/15), 1.08 (√(4-√8)), 1.15 (2/√3)
negative skew

7b) 0.2 therefore reject alternative hypothesis
c) 9

Looks like my answers ≈ Bi(7,1.00)

i did something like that, but did think it unusual for a 2 mark question - usually its a 3-4 isn't it, lol; i'm in the same boat as you! - got P6 and M4 next week! - hope they are not as nasty as the P5! - how'd you find that! - think i messed up that big time - got in between 60-80% - probs about 70% in raw score - hhope the boundaries are low for that, cos i need an A in further maths for bother my firm and insurance!

11. Ah, yep, I did mess up that last part of question 7, forgot to take into account the x-1 thingy, bloomin stupid really, ah well, i always make 1 customary error, rest should be fine, should be getting above 70/75 raw (or above and equal to, gahhhh!!)

you hoping for it - i need late 90's!!!! think i've got 90% at least, hoping i get some method marks for the last two parts of the last question.

yup first two definitely yes..n last one i think was the one where u had to round to 2dp? so that was 0.07
