Hardly anyone else seems to do AQA Chem... so I doubt most people have a clue what you're on about. I ought to as I've got the exam 2mrw. What is it about mass spec that you don't understand, the 'what happens' or the 'what can you deduce from the results' bit (or both) ?

I do AQA I did it in january though so I cant really remember it and I havent revisited it since then, so what is it you are stuck on? I assume you understand the process of mass spec, so do you mean how to get the results? basically the furthest peak is the molecular mass, then it may say deduce the peak of Mr = 15, so you would need to work out using the masses, so 15 could be C(12) + H(1) + H(1) + H(1) = 15...so that would be at that peak....hmm I really cant explain this without diagrams!
