They mean you don't express your feelings much and are quiet in social situations. I was always quite reserved myself but I've come out of my shell a bit in recent years.

It's only a bad thing if you find it's holding you back.

I guess you're just more of an observer. Quiet, mysterious and interesting? Do you ever open up to people and talk? Or do you prefer to listen.

I don't think it's a bad thing, it's who you are.

Express my feelings as in talking though or facial expressions? Thing is I get excited at random moments and my feelings do not correlate with my environment lol, so I can't really show them without looking odd. It makes me wonder do most people put on an act and force their facial expressions? Is this what having social skills is all about, putting on an act?

I don't think it is a bad thing, I'm quite like that myself and it does hold me back at times but I try my best not to let it affect my life.

If it's not bothering you personally, don't make it into a problem!
Some people are quiet, some loud. If you accept that about yourself then gooo you.

It is a bad thing

Why?

I don't think it's bad, there are so many people who talk too much and don't listen enough.

People say Im very reserved and quiet. Is being reserved a bad thing though? What does the word reserved actually mean these days? I can look up a definition of it but Id rather ask what do people mean when they say Im reserved it it a bad thing:confused:

Means you refuse to join in with binge drinking.

It's not bad it's just the way you are. It is only bad if it becomes an obstacle, which is very likely in business.

I'm reserved, and it's not been a problem. People tend to accept it really, and don't try to coax me into being anything other than myself. I'm shy, and reserved! That's just how I am.

reserved means that in social surroundings you are the one that analyses the room quietly instead of talking your studying everyone, your not much of a talker

t depends on how reserved you are I mean as long it is not antisocial

Reply 15

The person who tells you you're reserved is probably an extrovert or someone much 'louder' than you are. Being an introvert/quiet/reserved is not a bad thing. It just means that people have to make more of an effort to get to know you better - this could possibly result in more quality relationships.

It's best if you find a medium between the two really.. too far either way is bad.

Depends whether its a confident quiet reserved thing or a shy dont wanna talk thing. Makes all the difference.
