Can't be bothered with mates anymore

Lately (well since Monday night or so), I can't be bothered with my mates. I'd rather just come home from school and go to sleep or watch TV rather than rush out the door to get everyone as soon as i can like i used to. Has anyone else been in this position before and what happened in the end? Did you just stop seeing them altogether or could this just be a phase...

its probably just a phase, perhaps you just need some time with yourself, you'll miss your friends soon enough. I get like it all the time, but in the end i just get bored with my own company!

I'm really worried though, that they'll get fed up of asking me out with them and when i do eventually want to spend time with them again, they won't be there.

And why not?

because i have seen your reaction when your parents have grounded you. Now, do you think your mates will believe that want you to spend more time at home and you'd be happy about it?

I've got the cold just now though. So i'll just say that's why i'm staying in.

It would help if i actually went to the pub and talked like that...

yea i'm like that, i don't particulary like my 'mates' and don't spend every waking moment with them. They never invite me shopping but I could never go anyway (my parents are usually not willing to take me and i'm the only one without a job so less money), but they still invite me to the drunken parties, pub quizzes, sleepovers etc, which i usually go to and sometimes arrange even.
If you still go to school with them, they won't leave you out of the things that matter.

Nah, we don't go to the same school. They all live in a different town from me but its only a 10 minute walk for me so i still usually see them every night. I fell asleep earlier and when i woke up i had like 20 missed calls from them. I feel kinda guilty about that.

if you feel like being lazy, you could just be lazy with friends - film nights, pizza etc
if you think your friends are boring, find some new ones *shrugs*

Its not that i find them boring. I just don't want to spend time with them. I really don't know why. To be honest...i feel like i've outgrown them. They're all slightly younger than me and even though they're not necessarily immature i feel like i should be hanging about with people a lot older.
