the syllabus has now changed from Ps to Cs and the option for that A-Level has now gone from OCR and Edexcel.

<sigh> Nevermind, I guess I will just do 3 A levels and have super loads of free time and always be bored! Gah.

someone at my school wants to do further with me, but my teacher doesnt think she can hack fp1. weve already done m1 and m2 for it. so, now shes doing m1 m2 m3, which is an as in applied, as im aware.
id reccomend you to do a2 maths. but take up 3 other applied modules, and have an A-level in maths, accompanied by an As in applied

To have an A-Level in mathematics you HAVE to take the 4 core modules. I've done 2 and I really don't want to do the other two, because I am crap at them!

i suppose it would be classed as an as in maths, and an as in applied, unless you do 6 applied modules in the year

for an A2 in Maths you have to do C1-C4 and two applied units. Applied maths was in the old 'Pure' syllabus. Although technically this is the last session for the pure exams - there will be a retake opportunity in Jan 2006. So may be you can cash in for Applied Maths in Jan 2006 but you'd better check with Edexcel.

I have taken C modules, not P, in the C syllabus the applied maths A level doesn't even exist. So I'd have to learn a load of Ms and S and take P1 in Jan if I wanted an a level in applied! :>.<:
