    rite newayz.... thought this forum was for people taking their gcses not people who get in a stress cos sum1 said if they were joking or not bout hte difficulty of this paper

    I just talked about how they would need to ensure the benefits were worth the cost to make the drug, and that they'd need to make sure there were no side effects..that kind of thing.

    Well I looked at last years chem extension paper during my revision and that was VERY difficult, so I was expecting this one to be very difficult too. It was hard but nowhere near as hard as last years. I tried last years and could only attempt a few questions (9/50) but in the real thing I reckon I got about 25/50 - I know 50%'s not brilliant but compared to last years paper it was a lot easier - if you get what I mean!

    This year i wud say hte only "hard stuff" were maybe some of the calculations - to be honest tho ten of hte fifty marks were just on memorizing one page in the text book - bout the test for ions

    Although don't see why you would get 4 marks on testing for sulphate or whatever it was.
