    I thought it was ok, 'cept for the first question... how did you draw your polymer? and also the question about the initiation/propagation?

    Yeah that bit kinda threw me. My two propogation steps where the same, couldnt think how else to draw it so dropped 2 marks.

    Initiation: RO-OR, 2 fish hook arrows producings 2xRO* (* is electron)
    Progration RO* reacting with alkene, producing RO-alkene*
    Another propagation: RO-alkene. reaction with another alkene, producing RO-alkene-alkene*
    (of course no C=C)

    Just revised it last night, couldnt believe it was on!!! (but actually i revised all mechanisms)

    Todays exam is not hard at all, loads of mechanisms, hope I can get a good mark

    i thot it was ok.. it cld hav been worse... a few Qs i was not sure on ..

    there was not a single redox calculation.. so its quite possible it will turn up in the synoptic .. dont u think ?

    what did u write for the reagents & conditions for "STEP3" , which was the organic Q.
    it was R-CH(OH)CH3 ----> R-COO-Na+ ???

    wat was the answa for showin iron as a catalyst
    i put benzene and bromine - not too sure it its correct

    tho the Haber process uses iron
