social anxiety ruining my life

Hello ppl

Basically i am at uni now and ive suffered from anxiety and depression in the past. Although I believe I have much improved with the depression I still have signs of social anxiety and blushing. Basically at university I hoped to put all this behind me and start new yet these things are coming back into my life (or have never really gone) and its really getting me down and making me look like a loser. Its not helping me with my friends. interacting and talking to ppl at university or outside of university and I am having a lot of problems with women. The problem is I get quite alot of attention from females yet I get nervous around them even though I know I shouldnt and its stopping me from doing and saying what I want around pretty women!! I get really pissed off with myself and its really like a viscious circle that I really dont want to be in at this moment in time as its really stopping me from living my life like any other normal person.

Sorry for the long post and if any other people have tips on how to stop this/control this and get over my problems I am very grateful to hear them.

Guys, i dont know too much in dept, but seriously..Dont be afraid or nervous, what are you nervous about? Rejection? Embarrasment? Who gives a **** even if you do, people? Do you think those people are worth it then? Seriously! its life, its too short! do what you want to do and dont do what you dont. If you want to chat those girls then go ahead and do so! dont be thinking too much about it! just go ahead with it!!! Its life, it sucks but its beautiful make the most of it! (Kal ho na ho <3 = There may be no tomorrow)
Go to uni, go to the clubs, hav a shot or two and converse with them like you talk to people on here! or even ur friends!!

I hope this was some sort of help!

You may have social anxiety disorder/generalised anxiety disorder. Your doctor can put you on anxiolytic (anti-anxiety) medication or refer you to a cognitive behavioural therapist who can help you challenge and change the negative ways in which you think.

Tbh you sound like a normal, somewhat shy person, the only way forward is to experiment, nothing dreadful will happen, honest
