Yet another food thread - sorry :o

You may remember from an earlier thread (sounding like Troy Mclure here lol  ) that I've been on a diet for a couple of months. I've lost about 13 and a half pounds (can't make it to that damn stone lol). I'm doing my exams at the mo though and my appetite has sky-rocketed - my self discipline at not eating between meals and stuff is weakening a lot atm. I've managed not to put any on yet but I've not lost any for the last couple of weeks and I feel really ashamed of myself and frustrated each time my resolve breaks. Anyone any recommendations how I can curb my appetite while I'm doing my exams so I continue on the right path?
Cheers

If you really need to snack, snack on something healthy - fruits/nuts etc and if you do have a day where you do not conform to the diet try not to worry about it - don't give up!! =0) Just go on from there and make sure that the next thing you eat or next meal is in accordance to your diet plan....
All the best =0)
As Jay said, snack on healthy things: nuts; fruits; baked beans; tuna; salmon; wholegrain cereals/bread.

Which is more important to you? 5 minutes pleasure from a snack or losing weight.

That's all it comes down to, there's no tricks you just need willpower.
if you feel yourself getting hungry drink some water. it sounds silly but it can work.

keep sipping at it to while your revising to hydrate your brain, keep your hands and mouth occupied and flush your system of all nasty toxins

you should drink 3 pints a day anyway

Agress 100%

All these various diets are all pointless if you have no will power, 99% of people can lose weight if they are disciplined without some weird diet. just eat well and exercise ! maybe i should write a book.....

Drink water-- lots of it!! Also eat things higher in fiber; they take longer for your body to break down. Plus don't be afraid to snack-- I have snacks all the time but they arn't chips or candy, they're more like yogurt or a banana. I hear peppermints stimulate your brain.. some teachers here hand them out during exams and stuff.

Good luck!!

I find coffee is a marvellous appetite supressent.
In the morning I have a bowl of alpen with added raisens, which will usually keep me filled up so well that I often skip lunch - it's so filling it's like breakfast and lunch combined, but also pretty darn healthy.

Whilst revising I have a glass of fruit juice/water on hand and a huge bunch of grapes which I snack on almost continuously.

So, alpen for breakfast, snack on fruit continuously and then have a decent sized tea. Hey presto - you'll have a body like Kate Moss... maybe, lol!

drink lots of water b/c that'll usually fill your stomach. if you want something with taste then eat small healthy snacks (fruit, yogurt, blah blah blah) often
