At the moment it looks like bust. I started applying in May, while I was still studying, and it's nearing the end of June and I still haven't found anything. I've applied to shops, am signed up with 3 temping agencies and every week I send out a CV and covering letter when I find a remotely suitable job in the newspaper. No luck.

I'm just about ready to give up to be honest. My friends say keep trying but there's only so much silence and rejection I can endure. Anybody got any other job hunting tips?

How do you hand out letters and CVs? Because I can safely say that, from experience, a lot of applications will get shoved under the service desk (with best intention mind), then get lost under loads of other papers, and then eventually someone will have a 'tidy up' and throw everything in the bin without realising an application form was in it. Best to actually properly post it if possible.
